Cecilia Gyan Amoah
Cecilia Gyan Amoah (born 26 October 1947) is a Ghanaian politician and former diplomat.
==Career==
A career educator, Amoah began teaching English in Ghana in 1967. She also taught in Lesotho, Swaziland (where she lectured part-time at the University of Swaziland) and Botswana. In 2000, she left the education field and returned to Ghana to enter politics. She won the Asutifi South Constituency during the 2000 parliamentary elections on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party. Amoah was the member of parliament for the Asutifi South Constituency from January 2001 to January 2005. She also served as Ghana's ambassador to Cuba from 2006 to 2009. On 13 June 2015, Amoah won the Asutifi South Constituency New Patriotic Party parliamentary primaries to represent the party again in the Ghanaian general election in 2016.〔 (Brong Ahafo NPP: Full results show one incumbent casualty ), "Ghana Graphic Online"〕
